UTC's spiritual predecessor. Emri is a high school girl with a short temper who wishes upon a magic talisman to change her into a different person. The talisman took her literally, and hilarity (and angst) ensues as she takes on a new body with strange magic powers. The series follows her and her two best friends as they seek out a way to change her back to the way she was.
SEVEN TO SEVEN
A fast and fun sketch comic about a day in the life of a small town diner and its staff. Each issue covers one hour's worth of events in the day.
EVIL JIM
1 percent autobiography, 99 percent total farce. Evil Jim began as a way to blow off steam during my junior year in college and over the following two years, spiraled into a cacophony of secrets, lust for power, backstabbing (both figurative and literal), tragedy, and redemption. Characters are based upon real people I knew, but hardly represents who they actually are in real life. The comic is really just one giant glorified in-joke.

One of the inspirations for UTC. EGS follows the lives of eight not-so-ordinary teenagers in a town where magic is real, shapeshifters lurk around every corner, an immortal demon plays chess with people's lives, and the plot always knows when to take a break to indulge in some hilarious geekery.
SHORTPACKED!
A comic about toy collecting and the day-to-day operation of the most politically and socially liberal toy store this side of New Jersey. Also includes metahumans, astute observations about the fickleness of the average internet geek, resurrected American presidents, talking cars, and lots of pies to the face.
SKIN DEEP
A modern fantasy about mythical creatures living among humans. The main character was raised as a human and discovers she is the last sphynx known to exist...a status which endangers her and her new mythical friends and must be kept secret.
ZEBRA GIRL
One of the inspirations for UTC. Sandra is a burgeoning career woman who is suddenly and traumatically turned into a three-eyed demon when her roommates play around with a magic book. This opens a door for the three of them that would never shut, and each one embarks on a path of self-discovery, empowerment, and acceptance. And the art is gorgeous.
