2009 UPDATE ARCHIVE 06-03-2009 - UTC WEBSITE 2.0 If you poked around the site for the last few weeks you may have noticed a gradual change in format. Today the changes take a big step forward with the official launch of the new UTC site. It's better organized, with less orange and more geometry. The biggest change is the daily archive, which now has navigation buttons above as well as below the pages for faster browsing. There is a storyline navigation box on every page as well. The audio, fanart and wallpaper sections have been consolidated into a general media section. As you can also see from the progress charts, Chapter 4 is coming along slowly but surely. I finished the pencils for page 75 yesterday. Josh will soon be coloring page 74, which I'll be posting once he finishes. 05-04-2009 - BECAUSE YOU WANT TO HEAR MORE OF MY BORING VOICE The audio commentary for the first half of Chapter 4 is now available for download in the Audio section. It's a really long one. I apparently had a lot to say about the construction of this chapter. It HAS been quite a production. 04-27-2009 - TRANSFORMING THE SITE The website for UTC has been long in need of a facelift. For the next few weeks, I'll be mucking about with new graphics, color schemes, layouts, etc. You may also have noticed a new progress chart that replaced the Fenix Gear chart. This is not a hoax. I am actually resuming work on Chapter 4! Josh is satisfied enough with the work I'm doing for him that we've decided I can handle production on both comics. It will be slow going, but hopefully working in tandem with Fenix Gear's inks, I'll be able to finish both in a reasonable amount of time. For an idea of how long it will be before you start to see the new chapter pages on this site, you can refer to the vertical line in the middle of the chart labeled "Buffer Threshold." Once every box to the left of this line is colored green, that means I'll have enough completed pages to begin posting them on a weekly basis. So, hurrah! UTC is coming back! Furthermore, in the archives you will find four new entries. I've created "covers" for all four chapters and placed them at the separation points between each story. These covers are planned to be included in the UTC Phase One graphic novel, which I will begin putting together once Chapter 4 is finished. 02-23-2009 - KEEPING TABS ON STUFF Figured you deserved at least something to pass the time until I can work on UTC again. In the Audio section you will find the commentary track for Chapter 3: "Mutation Fluxuation." Also, I've created a graphic that tracks the progress of my work on Josh's Fenix Gear comic. Once it fills with blue, I'll be ready to pick up UTC again and FINALLY finish Chapter 4. Keep the torch burning, folks! Excelsior! 01-09-2009 - CHRISTMAS UPDATE THREE Sorry this update is so late. You know how crazy the holidays can get. The second page of this holiday update is live! Sadly, that also means UTC is entering its next excruciating hiatus.
